I'm wondering what 722 owners think about the HDMI vs. the Component video feed as far as PQ goes. Any fans of one over the other? Reasons? I know my own preference, but I'm curious what others have to say.

I prefer component as HDMI makes me feel like I am developing cataracts.

I am using component on the 622 right now, but only because the HDMI port on the 622 has blown... but when HBO starts enforcing DRM, say goodbye to using component... not HDCP... so it will drop to 480p, and that will suck.![]()
With HD DVD, upscaling of SD only works with HDMI. The component connection changes standard DVDs to progressive (480p) scan. You may want to check the manual of your BD to see if that is the case.Does it fuzz it a little or what does it do that you don't like?
I like the component video vs. HDMI coming out of my Blu-Ray player also. Seems to have the same affect as it does with the 722. I'm guessing it is just my own T.V.'s personal preference for clear video delivery. Again, it is a close call.
