Who needs Chiller it is a waste of bandwidth---We have monster and it is in HD ( if it is not in HD it does not count. If Chiller does go HD I would then want it.)

My guess is it was part of the contract to get USAHD,SCIFIHD, and the rest of the NBC HD lineup. I checked out the Chiller website, it does not look to be half bad. I know it is movies are edited and breaks, but Some of the content looks great. Not everybody has an HDTV, remember that. I love HD but I also watch plenty of SD stuff, I for one will enjoy the channel when it is added. What does SCIFI show 75% of the time...upconverted SD. IMO if you going to show upconverted HD more than 60% of the time you should not call yourself an HD channel. I know A lot of the old content is not in HD, which cannot be helped. I just wish a content percentage was attached to channels claiming HD only to give us upconverted SD.I believe HD is more than a 1080i/720p signal, it has to have the content to be a true HD channel HD!
Have it on my Directv account but the picture quality is not good . THere is a lot of compression and smearing on faces during movement on some shows and that is on an analog tv. I only hope that DISH will give it enough bandwith to do it justice. THis channel is full of good tv shows I watched growing up . LIke Night Gallery, Tales of the Crypt, Kolchak the Night Stalker, Alfred Hitchcock, Friday the 13th -the Series, etc. Some of these shows I haven't watched since they first aired.
The SD chiller looked like crap but had some good programming. I cant wait until the HD Chiller hits my hd only pack.
And 2300 internationals, 5090 Locals, and 7600 standard definition channels...I beleive the channel additions when they appear on my guide. I am not jumping ship to Directv, I will wait on Dish....(I think!)
But still, no LOGO or CMT Pure Country!
I sure hope that you are right tomorrow and it launches in Better Picture quality than Directv has .
I am far more concerned about the content of a channel than whether it is HD or SD. but to each their own.
I will give Chiller a chance and I know that others were very concerned about it so if it is coming I am pleased. As for Monsters HD it is beter than nothing but it seems to show the same slate of movies over and over. How many times can you watch an HD broadcast of War of the Colossal Beast?
