BREAKING NEWS: (California) Jury Mostly Sides with NDS in Hacking Case, Say Reports
According to press reports out of California, a federal jury - for the most part - cleared NDS Group of any wrongdoing in a case involving allegations that the News Corp. unit hacked DISH Network's conditional access technology.

Reuters reported that the jury awarded DISH only $1,500 in damages against NDS for a single incident with a satellite TV smart card. DISH and its conditional access provider NagraStar were seeking as much as $1 billion in the case.

The jury deliberated for about a day Tuesday on the case. The federal judge overseeing the trial had sealed the jury decision until this morning.

There was a failure to issue merits nor news/info on the ruling; static claim.

There's a feeling here of 'who's first' vs supporting information. Why not just add the info instead of rebuking it? I just don't get it.

The same goes to say when Scott put down and closed my posting from SkyReport regarding Dish/Voom, while he claimed, "Voom isn't going anywhere soon."

Ego's are getting in the way of information here at SatGuys.

So does this mean that any residentual subscriber that gets caught in the future hacking a single Dish Network card will be fined $1,500?

NDS also has to pay legal fees. Once again, the lawyers get rich... :(
