No Signal

I've had dish network for 8-9 years no problems. Went to bed last night everything worked fine, this morning no signal at all. I have a dish 500 with 2 receivers, no signal on either receiver. I've checked all cables, everything looks good. Tried re-pointing the dish, nothing. I'm getting no switch box detected from both receivers. I'm thinking bad lbn. Does this sound right? Anything else it could be? Thanks.

Bad LNB is a very good chance. Not much else it could be. I doubt both receivers broke at the same time.

A lot of times you can find one off Ebay for a good price.

Depending on your setup, it could be a switch. Check your lines for an external switch, if you have one, run a line from an lnb direct to one of your receivers and see if you get a signal that way. If you don't have a switch, it is probably the lnb.

or check with a local retailer and see what they have......might find it cheaper

ground blocks also can go bad to check a grnd block just by-pass with a barrel connector
