My install time was yesterday between 8am & 12pm. The installer called at 8:45 and said he was a ½ hr away. Well he showed up at 9:20, which is right on time to me. He was a very pleasant and courteous installer even though he had to only mount my dish since I pre installed everything else. Boy was he happy when he saw how I neatly installed everything already. He said mine was the best self-install he has ever seen. I still gave him a tip to go buy lunch since he had a great attitude when he first got out of his truck before he new what was already done. He also gave me his cell number and said to call anytime I have a problem. Just wanted to say I had a great experience with Michigan Microtech.

HD is nicccccccce

Its always good to hear a good story once in awhile. There are a lot of the these but people seem to only post about the bad ones.

Whish you a lot of luck keeping your setup working. Looks like 6-8 ft above your fulcrum point unless that is strong pipe you will have wind problems with that size dish.

6 1/2 feet above ground sch40 pipe with a 12"x44" hole with 6 80#bags holding her steady. I don't think she's going anywhere but thanks for the concern;)

My install is similar. It's been there for two+ years with no issues, even on very windy days.

The 480 lbs of concrete below ground should hold it in the ground, but won't do much about flex in the pipe itself. Schedule 40 pipe is heavier than most people would use so hopefully it will keep you on the Ka birds. If it proves to have flex in it you migh try putting angle iron tripod type braces just below the dish mount into concrete in the ground.
