How disrespectful, I can understand in the "70's and part of the '80's , but come on, they won the CUP for the 4th time in like 11 years.

Sheesh....

Whens the last time your Wild won the Cup, Oh ya, they weren't the Wild.

Jimbo... your thoughts on the idea of this game?

What do YOU guys think of this idea?

I thought they didn't want to overkill this idea. I would have preferred them to wait a year or two. However, it IS all about the Almighty $$ and methinks this will be an annual event from now on.

That said...I LOVED watching the last one and will happily watch this one.

I think you will probably get a better view in a baseball park vs a football stadium.
So thats a plus.

On the down side, Detroit ALWAYS plays on the 31st and has a big to do at the Joe and I'm wondering if that will still take place seeing this is the next day

I remember a New Years Eve years ago when Detroit beat the Kings with seconds to go in the 3rd period. They do have a New Years Eve vibe going on @ Joe Louis.

Be careful there Satin, Chicago fans are not to kind to Red Wing fans, trust me, I know.

How did you know I might go to this game if they do it? You're in my head man! you're freaking me out. Actually it's basically the same distance for Det or Chi for me. I prefer the Joe obviously, but tickets are easier to get when Det visits chi-town.

These outdoor games are fun and a nice novelty. I'm glad the Wings will be part of one, actually glad it's might be vs the hawks too.

I loved the Michigan/Mich State game they played outdoors, that was alot of fun, felt like a football game.

They absolutely can play the 31st in Detroit and 1st in Chicago. It's not a long plane ride.

I heard about this possibility a month ago or so and I'm very excited to hope it happens :D

Load up the bus - any Wings fan with money will want to be at Wrigley! As a big Cubs fan too - that woud be the cake!

Not to long ago, you would have said No Way to a Jan 1st game, with all the college football games on that day, but now that they have pushed the games out thruout the month, it's not such a big day anymore.

I always hoped to get to Wrigley some day , but that was to see a baseball game !

I would think that it would be very hard to watch a outdoors game in person, being so far away from the action, like the last one was in the football stadium, hopefully they get a closer look from a baseball stadium.

Not to worry Jimbo, A hockey game would be around 12 Noon, and the Rose Bown is generally 4pm or so. It Michigan needs to play in a higher bowl game, well, those happen later in the week. Anyone heard, do we have a QB this year

Watching in Wrigley would be fine, that is a small stadium. Watching in Buffalo, at Ralph-Wilson, would be near impossible - very hard to see much - too big for hockey.

Don't worry Jason, M won't be in the Rose Bowl this year, I doubt that MSU will either.
Rose Bowl starts at 4:45 pm

QB's ? QB's , Do they have them in Michigan, I know they don't in Detroit and AA , not sure about E. Lansing ... :D
