How much does the amt of electricity going into the reciever matter? Is there a such thing as to much?

Let me explain,

My mom had a problem with her old 311 not working in one of her rooms. Intead of sending another 311 they said she needed a lnb replacement. So the tech comes out with another receiver and replaces the dish 1000 she had with a 500. Gave her another 311 and I think a new single tuner, not sure, but after hook up of the new Sat they can get service only on 1 tv in the house. The other 2 tvs are saying need to authroize the receiver, now he called and they did the authroziation over the phone. But still nothing. Tech tells them they have an electrical problem and to have an electrician sign off before they can do anything else.

Now mind you. . . . this is in the 2 rooms that were "working" before he made the change. the tv where the receiver was not working is the only one working now.

can you give me some clarification?????

Thanks!

electrical issues cause signal loss, not activation issues. call dish and setup a trouble call to get either the same tech back out OR even better, an experianced one out.

good luck.
