SHOWTIME has at least 4 HD channels. And TMC has several more. That's about 7 more HD movies we could get. Even if they gave us Showtime West as well as Showtime East. What's the deal? And don't dare tamper with the finest quality HD channels since the beginning --HDNET and HDNM. Mark Cuban knows what he is doing and provides some of the finest entertainment to be found and always in the proper format. I could use KUNGFU, MONSTERS, WORLD fILMS & WORLD SPORT back from VOOM right now. Check it out Charlie.......Give The Dolans a call.

I'd rather not have to many West channels of Premiums untill we get the ones that we don't even have, (Showime Next,Showtime Women,Showtime Family) are added to our lineup. Plus all the Cinemax ones we don't have yet.
D* premiums made me hate West feed.
Thats all D* has is East ,West. Thats worse then VOOM! Thats repeats every 3 hours instead of 4 hours.

I suppose that works for you, you live in PA. What about all the West Coasters? I've got a 722, so I don't really care, but not everyone does.

What you guys in the west don't get an East Feed? Fine drop all the East and add just the west. Why have both? East and West both Play the same thing all the time. What about Central and Mountain why not them. And for the cost of DVR (Free) everyone should have one.

Where can I get free HD DVR? I have 3 HD Boxes and only 1 is HD DVR because Dish charges $100 upgrade fee for the first DVR and then $199 for the 2nd HD DVR and all HD DVR after that you have to buy.

Then there is an ongoing $5.98 fee too for each DVR unless you have the America Everything Package.

So how do you define free? As the only time E* gives you a free DVR is if you get an SD DVR. If you have an SD DVR then why would you care about HD channels then anyways?

You are hijacking this thread, my friend.;) Please start a new thread or find one that is on subject.

I got a Free 612, Just for asking for it. If you have DVR atvantage there 1 waved DVR fee. And $100 is at the High end of the price of a DVR. Unless of course your over the 4 tuner limit. But I'm sure it all depends on you Credit ,payment history. E* is not hard to get Cheap or even free equipment out of. New customers get even better deals. Try it sometime Ask them to do better on the price. They will !

Simple solution. Put the East Coast feed on 61.5 and the West Coast feed on 129. Everyone is happy that way. :D

Sound good to me. But where is Central and Mountain going to go?Mountain 119 ? Central 110?
None of the Movie Channels have specific Central/Mountain feeds, so there isn't anything to put up.

As for Central, no one puts out Central feeds for anything. That's why all the programs on the east coast always say "8'oclock Eastern, 7 Central"

HBO used to have mountain feeds.

Mountain is the one that really gets screwed. If it says "8, 7 Central", then we either get it at 6 or 9, depending on the feed.

And then, if you're in Arizona, forget it. Since we don't switch for DST, it's different at different times of year. I used to work at an NBC station here. NBC DOES have a mountain feed, but half the year, none of the feeds match up with our schedule. Eastern is 2 hours early, Mountain is 1 hour early, Pacific is one hour late.

They used to have something called "the Mountain Minute". Basically, MTZ stations got an extra minute each night to sell locally in exchange for the hassle they had to go through every night. They'd start their primetime at 6:59, and then sell 2 extra 30 second spots.

Anyway, yeah, I'd like to see more Showtime HD feeds. West would be nice, but I'd rather have 2 and 3 first. (And TMC!)

I'm with you on more HD premiums, but I also think Dish got it right for a change, doing most of the HBOs and MAXs first. For me, anyway, those two are the best as far as new movies and older movies combined. Showtime's main niche now is their original shows, which are on the main channel already. Their movie library, though, is pretty weak. While HBO and Cinemax don't show most new movies OAR, both show quite a bit of their classics that way, and Cinemax, especially, has some great gems from pre 1980.

LOL I signed up last month. I argued with installer and E* over the phone because I asked for 2 DVR and they gave me 1 Vip722 which can be connected to 2 TV and 1 HD box and claimed that is good for 3 TV's. I canceled my first install even as CSR refused to waive the HD DVR fee or charge me at least same $99 upgrade fee for 2nd HD DVR as the 2nd box was $199, called executive offices to complain etc and they said current promo for new customers is 1 HD DVR for $99 upgrade fee and up to 3 free HD boxes or $199 for 2nd HD DVR. So they rescheduled my appoint for new install with 1 HD DVR and 2 HD Boxes.

Btw I have a prefect credit over 800 credit score as I was able tu re-fi my house last month and I got a discount of 25 bps for having over a 780 credit score.

And to KAB I am not highjacking this thread. I am proving a point that DVR are not free like Hemi claims which is why many people do not have them. Maybe if you been with E* for a couple of years they will give you a free 612 but good luck getting 2 HD DVR for free as a new customers.

I know I refused to pay $200 for my 2nd box and $400 for 3rd DVR. Last time I checked $600 is what I dish in 11 months as my bill currently is $54.99+ tax for HD Absolute + locals+ 1 DVR+ 2 HD Boxes. So to some people like my self who refuse to pay 1 year of E* service to get 3 HD DVR. Having both E and W feeds matters to us.

The extra showtime channels were rumored to be added before the new HBO and Starz were added. I'm surprised Showtime hasn't been expanded by now, its the only premium left with only one HD channel.
