I'm moving on Thursday and only going to use one of my receivers at my new location. I was wondering if anyone knew if you can leave the other receiver at the previous location and set up a different account with that one?

Most likely you can. I am sure it will make Dish happy because it means more income.
As far as different accounts go, unless you own the equipment you can't split the receivers up like that... they'd give you a new one for the new account.
If it's leased, you must send it back (dish will send you a pre-paid box).
If you own it you must have it removed from your account or the new owner might activate it on your account.
