I got it this year to watch Favre with the Jets. Going to host neighbor hood party. Thompson can go suck it.
LOL! Thompson is terrible. The only pick up the Packers got this year was what? Brandon Chillar and thats it? They should have gone after a backup QB at the very least and also they could have gone after Terry Glenn or even now Joe Horn. Some more experience at WR wouldn't hurt.

so much for what I was told:mad::mad::mad:.....went to turn on the 702-1 multi channel HD feed and I get "721", not authorized. Called and talked to someone who can't hardly utter english after being on hold for 41 minutes. He said I was not signed up for superfan.:mad::mad: ask for retention, and was transferred into a busy signal. Tried to call back and have been on hold for another 32 minutes and counting.

What is up with D* customer service? does it exist anymore?
 
I got the new customer promotion after being signed up for over a year. I called in because my Nascar Hotpass wasnt working. I asked if I could get a deal on Sunday Ticket and they gave the the 74.99 for 4 months with Premier for free and paid 24 for 4 months for Superfan.
 
Called last night and got to retention dept. Asked for the deal and got it!!! Even got Superfan for free too!!! I love me some D*!

How long have you been a customer? I got a feeling that although we've referred another customer to Directv being a customer for 9 months wouldnt get me such a deal

Almost a year. Give it a try. Just remember to be real nice and ask. If they don't give it to you, don't get mad. Wait about a day or two and call again.
 
How do you even go about making this proposal...."I'm currently paying ___ amount for directv and i'd like to get the current new customer offer of 4 months premium programming and sunday ticket for 75?"

I guess it just seems far fetched to me, i'm impressed if anyone is able to do it

I just told them a friend of mine told me he got the deal and I was wondering if I could get the same. It was that easy. But you must get thru to the retention dept. At the prompt just say cancel service.

Thanks i'll give it a shot, so if you say cancel service you automatically go to retention or do you still have to ask for it from there?
 
Yes you will be sent directly there. Afetr the initial prompt, there will be another. Just keep saying cancel service. When someone answers, do not say you want to cancel. Just tell them that you want the deal.

What number did you use!? I was told to enter my account number then went straight to a rep. Never got an opportunity to say cancel service...I tried a couple times and it wouldnt accept it.
 
Inquiring mind wants to know if you got the HD DVR for free with the deal ?
I could use an extra DVR and the ST package :)


Already had a HDDVR so didn't ask for one. I will need one soon, but didn't want to get too greedy. You can try. How long have you been a customer? If over a year, use that as leverage. The main thing is to be polite and don't get an attitude. If you really sound like you are just looking for help, you have a better than average chance. Maybe you can call about this and then a couple of days later call about the HDDVR. You probably won't get it if you ask for both at the same time.
