In the Ole Miss/Florida game,

Urban Meyer made, IMO, the stupdiest decision I have ever seen a coach make.

Worse than Barry Switzer's 'Load Left' or Marty Mornhinweg's 'Winded decision.'

He passes up a chip shot field goal and try on a 4th and 1.

KICK THE DAMN FIELD GOAL!!

With this mind,

what are some of the stupidest decisins by a coach you recall?

As a Gator fan, in hindsight, I wish they would of kicked the field goal. But by no means is a 50 yard field goal a chip shot. Especially for a kid who has attempted all of 5 college field goals, plus he might of been rattled from the block just a few minutes before. If anything you can question the play call, everyone one in the state knew what was coming.

2 weeks ago, Romeo Crennel went for a field goal, being down by 7 with 3 minutes left in the 4th quarter. It was 4th and 1 inside the 20 yard line.

A field goal is worth 3 points (duh). By kicking the field goal, the Browns are still down by 4, thus needing another touchdown to win. This was the best opportunity to tie or take the lead in the game, but RAC (Romeo A. Crennel) decided to kick a field goal.

And to think most Browns fans were thrilled when Romeo got here :D
At least you got a win today.

Ozzie Guillen bringing in ANYONE but Matt Thornton and Bobby Jenks from the bullpen...I mean the rally killers. These guys are PATHETIC!!!! WASTE OF TIME AND MONEY!!!

Exactly. Not too many people who follow football will call a 50 yard field goal a chip shot. The bad call was having Tebow run it. Ole Miss saw that coming from a mile away.

Charlie Weis not going for a field goal against Navy last year and missing when they went for it on 4th and 1 to lose the game....

John Robinson used to pocket timeouts when I was a Rams fan especially in the 1st half of games. Alot of "2 minute" drives never got executed right even with Everett as QB.

Wasn't there the Giants game where their was a squib kick. Doug Bryant was suppose to kick a squib kick and it would up going out of bounds and the Giants lost the game. Does anybody know what I'm talking about.

What about the obvious, Pedro in game 7 of the 2003 ALCS.

I don't know Sabres, that one changed the Lions whole season, and the next, and the next, and the......
