has anyone ever try to get both birds with a bracket?. i fabricated a bracket today am gonna try out tomorrow will see how it goes, its going on a 36" dish the dish is currently pointing to 43w am hoping to catch 30w.

Well, I don't expect you'll be too successful, but maybe...

There are a few questions which will help in offering you any suggestions:
- where are you? City/State/Provence, or Zip code, or longitude/lattitude
- which 36" dish are you using? I need the focal length for some calculations

Generally, that many degrees off bore-site wouldn't result in too much signal.
If unsuccessful, try aiming the dish between the two birds, then relocate your LNBs to get the two birds.

edit: come to think of it, if the birds are closer together from your vantage point (due to both being low on the horizon), that might actually be helpful!
It makes the LNB locations closer together.
We'll have to get some guys in different parts of the country to try this! ;)

Am in Canada, Ontario/Toronto, i've had the dish pointed to 30w for a couple months now.i recently decided to give 43w a run just to see what the channels were like. I made markings on the dish to make it easy switch back to 30w if need be, so judging by the markings 30w should be feasible.

I found the EagleStarPro web site.
They list 33" and 39" dishes, but I cannot seem to get details on them.
If you see the focal length on your dish (which part number?) , please post it.

According to one of our members that (43.0w) satellite is being put into a inclined orbit so your experiment might be shortlived.

I have just received notice that Intelsat 3R is about to be put into an inclined orbit, and no spare is scheduled for the 43W slot. The Italian MUX that used to broadcast Dr. Dish will be leaving. Challenger Teleport, who is the uplinker of this MUX, has not as of yet found a substitute satellite. I will update this post as information becomes available.

I just read at the Intelsat web site that Intelsat 1R @ 45.0 west will be replaced in the second quarter of 09 , maybe we will see more changes for the better.

I couldn't find a part number on dish, however i took its measurements
W 34.1/2" by L 37.1/2" inches. i don't know if this helps but, i bought it from a local dealer i think he gets them from china am unsure, anyhow am going give it a world right now i just woke up not to long ago so here i goo wish me luck.

Well that's fine by me ti'll the time comes i hope to get it up an running, am all about testing and experimenting, I wouldn't mine setting up another dish that would be ideal, but the fact off the matter is that i already have too many and i don't think my neighbors would appreciated if i got another dish up an neither would my wife am nut case when it comes to testing lol.

Yes, and so are we.
Didn't mean so much to discourage you as to help understand the problem.

Here's a link to your dish's web site.
I didn't find a 36" model, nor any tech facts about any of them.
But, I also have some self-imposed restrictions on what I can see from this particular computer.
If you locate the focal length of the dish you have, let me know.

Hey for sure mann thanks alot for your input, i couldn't find a 36" nor its specs but i know for fact that its a 36" because thats what i ask for when i bought it. i remmember comparing it to a 33" and the 36" obviously looked bigger how would i go about finding its focal point? advise thanks again.
