Hello all,

As you can see I am a total newbie. I am getting ready to subscribe to Dish and I live in kentucky. I have a clear view of the SW sky (where the 110 and 119 is now) . Some people have told me that if I want to subscribe to High Def, I have to point now to 61 and the 70's in the eastern arc. Do I have to point in that direction with a Dish 1000.4 dish? Or can I use a Dish 1000.2 and point to the 110,119, 121 satellites. I hope someone can help me get this straight...

Thanks
Jim

EA requires the 1000.4 dish. If you are going to point to the SW you will need to pickup 110, 119, and 129. What is on 129 is mirrored in 61.5. I prefer 61.5.

Unless you are purchasing all of you equipment, Dish will bring out the correct setup fo you.

Thanks for the reply, and yes I am purchasing all of my equipment. I don't like my local dealer so I would rather do it myself then to let him have my money.
