This one cracks me up.

One of the new ads where Dish is asking people about Dish and what is good about it. A guy named Justin says that Dish "Wants to know if you are happy with the service they are doing". His son that looks the age of 6 or 7 says "no" at the same time Justin is finished making the statement.:D

I dont get the Dish Network ads I have been seeing that have been telling me why I shouldn't go back to cable.

Hey Dish instead of making ads trying to keep me from switching to cable, why n ot improve your service and give your customers what they want?

have you seen the commercial for Apple.. where Microsoft is splitting up money for fixing vista and advertising... then moves everything to advertising... that's dish's plan as well.. :)

One of there adds also boasts of up to 100 HD channels with 150 by the end of the year.

By my calendar that means "up to" 50 new channels in the next four weeks.

Unless, of course, they are talking Chinese, or Orthodox new year. (that may be in the fine print that I missed)

Have not seen any of these commercials (I always DVR and fly through them), but it certainly sounds like either the companies have all had a sudden flash of honesty, or they have all hired the same terrible marketing firm.

Are all these E* ads on lately because the election is over and the networks/channels are filling space now that there are no more political ads?

Also, E* should get fined for the loud/erratic audio squelching out of my home theatre system each time one of the ads runs.

Which is odd because I would think most people who might leave Dish would head over to Directv.

Probably true but it seems that D* and E* rarely if ever mention each other in their ads. They always compare themselves to cable with respect to superior programming and especially HD offerings.

There is another ad out there that a guy says that Direct hd just does not seem like hd on some of their channels.

I wonder if he is looking at the same hd channel on Dish.

Yeah I saw that one, he said the HD quality on DirecTV was bad, but it is great on Dish Network. I was rolling my eyes at that one.

I agree. Dish has the worst ads. The Caliendo ads are horrible, now these "real people" ads? I dont get it. It is almost like they are trying to fail.

Amen! Put a halt to HD-Lite, get rid of the multiple DVR fees, stop yanking channels without notice, unscrew your sports offerings (FiOS and DirecTV seem to think Big Ten Network is a national sports channels), stop pandering to deadbeats and low profit margin customers, and bring back the "Value" for your higher paying customers. When you add up all the nickel & dime charges, quality customers are paying more for less (programming and resolution) for Dish Network service than by signing up with a competitor. Dish went from hero to zero in less than 18-months IMO.

Those ads seem pretty low brow to me. They have a "blue light special" feeling to them. Dish has a terrible marketing department. Imagine how many more subs they could have if they only had more TV ads with the production quality of DirecTV. I mean, D* had people convinced they were the HD leader when they had practically NO HD!

I also agree with the other posts: Listen more to what your subs want! Make us PROUD to be Dish customers instead of making us feel like we shop at Goodwill.

If Direc had a receiver that looked like Beyonce or was within 1/10th of Dish's VIPs, I'd switch yesterday and Dish could cram their $7, $5.95, $5 local, $5 additional receiver fees up their a$$.

Well I cant dance like Beyonce nor do I have her looks. So I guess I am stuck with dish since I look more like Caliendo.

PSST why does Dish not do a charlie the tuna ad?? You know were all fish of the sea watch dish???
