Anybody have an idea about Dish Network Signals in Belize and its coordinates? For Directv I point my 1.8m dish at an Azimuth of 210 deg and an elevation of 65 deg at the 101 bird.

I have a Dish 301 Receiver several things are different from DTV in which am more familar with like for example what is Skew? How can I achieve that on a 1.8m dish? Which satellite mst I use? If I'm not mistaken I see about five different satellites for dish remembering these two: sat 110 and 119. Whic sat must I point to which TP would be the strongest. Thanks

I forgot to mention that I am using the same LNB for DTV

I purchased one of the Dish Network Prepaid systems sir? I think that should do it. No account setup, ssn or any of the sort. So I think its just a matter of getting the installation part of it. I will try using the satellites u mention. Thanks

For that programming package you will need 2 dishes and a SW21 switch one dish aimed at 110 and one aimed at 119. You can get AT100 with a dish aimed at 119 where most of the channels are located.

Dear Friend, you can receive only signals from satellite 119, you can not receive signals from 110 or 129, i live in cabo san lucas Mexico and i can receive signals from 110 and 129 only in a 2.40 mts dish, and i only live 1200 kms fsouth from us border.

I would check with local satellite dish installers, local Internet forums, newspaper's ads, ppl who live over there.

Thanks for all the information, but I have done all the research mentioned above. When I had directv I remembered I was getting signal from the 119 satellite so I thought it would have been the same with Dish. I kept my Satellite dish on at same elevation and azimuth when I have Directv but I still am not getting any signal.

Shouldnt I if I am getting the DTV 119 Satellite?

Thanks alot

Dish and Directv use different satellites even if the location is the same. D* 119 satellite has a different radiation pattern than E* 119 satellite.

Thanks Sir,
So does this mean that even if I use a Dish Receiver with the 119 DTV signal I wont get any transponders with that receiver? Note that I am using a 1.8M dish with the LNB that came with my previous DTV receiver?

Whats your idea.

Note that I have only one LNB. However I think I may not have the setting correct on the Dish Network Receiver. There are options to set such as: Dish500, Dish300, Super Dish, Alternate, A check Switch Menu (dont have any switch do I need one?) Using the Dish 301 Receiver for Dish Now/Prepaid

Thanks

You must test it first, then tell us - nobody have the knowledge a priory. Who knows what Dish 119W/110W lobes could reach Belize.
So, check - you must connect your Dish receiver by one cable to that LNBF what looks to 119W, then check Dish300, then try to check switch, then tell us signal on each tpn.

First let me say that whether you are paying or not, Dish Network cannot legally provide you services in any country other than the United states and it's territories. This is because dish does not have retransmission rights for the channels they provide in any other country. Due to this fact dish works pretty hard to limit it's signal to only the contiguous US and for some satellites, Puerto Rico/Hawaii/Alaska. All that being said, (and considering the troubles you have stated) you may very well be outside the footprint (The area the satellite transmits to) of the dish network satellite you are trying to receive from. If your dish is currently pointed to and receiving from DirecTV 7S (DirecTV's satellite located at 119) and you move the line to a Dish Network reciever and get nothing, you are probably outside the spotbeam and will not be able to receive services from that satellite. You will want to make sure that the LNB you are trying to use for your dish is compatible with the type of receiver you are using as well. Good Luck, and sorry if the only news I have is bad news.

Found Dish network Signal

Ok Guys as the subject says I was able to find Dish Network Signal in Belize. I found signal for serveral satellites but I am only able to lock in to satellite 110. Which means that I am only able to get a very limited amout of channels being I have the AT250 package and by the way I am using prepaid it actually works. I am using my directv LNB can this be the reason? I just cannot in the other satellites please help on Transponder 11 on Sat 110 I get signal strengt of 100.
Thanks.

Note that I am using 1.8m dish with DTV single lnb. Thanks

DISHNETWORK SIGNAL STRENGTH

I am getting signal strength in the 70 and 80 percent range for 110 and 119 respectively but I am still unable to lock into 119. I already got myself a sat finder fine tuning is good. Note that I dont have a switch. I read many posts but no luck. what do you all think? Is there any way I can swich something to 119?
