How many people out here on Dish think that the Platinum package is a rip off,10.00 a month is too much.If we could get as many subscribers who have Platinum to Cancel the Platinum ad on ,maybe Dish will get the message to lower price or add the Channels to an existing package like if you subscribe to 250 with HD it should be included in price.Just curious if anyone agrees with this or am I way off base..

I agree it is a waste of money and just dropped it after seeing what channels were included. They are inconvenient to get to and I never watch them mainly because I forget about them.

I'm not as bothered by the fact that Universal and HDNet aren't in Gold as the fact that Fox and Viacom Aren't included in Platinum.

One thing I do find lame is you can get NBA TV and NHL Network in SD in sports pack but need platinum to get the HD feed?

Why, at this point, would someone have Platinum if they didn't think it was worth $10 a month?
Normal folks who check their bill and are aware of what they are doing probably wouldn't have it. But you'd be surprised to see those who have programming add-ons that they don't even remember or know the price. I doubt it happens much with Platinum HD, but if you've had a setup for years and years, you might not recall what you are getting/paying (especially if you have a bad memory and just pay the bill when it comes).

I have the center ice package and I get the NHL Network HD feed on two different channels. I would bet that if you have the NBA package you wold also get the NBA TV HD feed.

Not a bad idea, though it would be nice if they could add the the HD feeds to the sports pack, but then I would doubt it would be 5.99 then. I read that NBA TV worked out a deal with direct to be included in the non sports tier. Wonder if down the road Dish would follow?

Add the 4-20 Boston/Montreal NESN-HD feed for CI you morons!
