I live in Guatemala City, I've heard that mexicans needs a 2.4 or something like that Dish in order to get amazonas but I'm closer so do you think the 1.5M will not be able to get amazonas KU band?

Well some guys got this satellite with 1.5M dish in mexico city and some others with 1.2M from Costa Rica I'm between those distance so I'll give a try to see if at least I can pick it.

Yeah, here in central america too, but I would like to use it with a PC using an internal card, in europe a lot of people do that using a CI module with cards like Floppy DTV etc.

hmmm.. ok

Don't waste your time, not a chance - have alook at the lyngsat footprints, you are looking in excess of 2.4 nearer 3m for FTA or DigiBrazil or Digi movistar

I was talking for Amazonas, you might receive C band but not Ku

It is possible to use a sky card (with Paid subscription) in a FloppyDTV PC internal card with appropriate 3rd party cam but you would still need the original Videoguard receiver it was activated in to keep the card updated. All this is a hugely expensive way to go about it.

I know lyngsat says that I will not be able to get Ku band but guys from mexico city got it with a 1.5M dish, and Costa Rica got it with 100 cm dish so now I will test this satellite and I hope my 1.2m dish catches it.

Really, how often need the card to be updated?

Can I use one slave receiver?
