Before I get a boatload of Direc people getting after me..

I will start off by saying I have always thought Direc had the ''best'' customer service..up until now...

They are the ''WORST'' Sorry to all I might have offended...I will not appologize for that! THEY STINK!

Last week I had contacted the office of the president. The lady I spoke to said she has the power of the Direc president. Wow..great credentials right? Wrong!

After apologizing for direc customer service doing a bad job of not honoring a special given to me of 150 for NFL ticket...she manually put it in the system.

This weekend Direc credit department called and said direc gave to many credits too me. Not my fault but they said credit had to be reversed to full charge.
They claimed direc made those credits...but cant over ride it.

So, yesterday I spoke with same lady..(has the power of the president-direc tv of course) she told me the credit department has more power than her and she could do nothing. She said she was embarrased by what happened but powerless to make the right move.

She understood if I wanted to cancel my acct. She said privately she would do the same..
She noted that I have been with direc for over 10 years and a top tier customer...It would be devasting if I left but she was powerless to honor any price credit by direc tv.

So, every higher up has failed me at direc tv...Aweful situation. Never have I been treated so poorly by any Tv company...

How the mighty have fallen.

This is my experince..Not an attack on every CSR or manager...But To me direc is absolutely the worst!

Treated poorly? By not giving you something for far less than what many others are paying? You're upset because they woudn't give you something that was never actually owed to you in the first place. Sunday Ticket credits are not something you should expect. If you get them, be thankful...but don't act like you're owed the privilege.

Customer service didn't fail. They were successful in weeding out a customer seeking credits.

DirecTV shoulod have never o ffered him the special price if they didn't intend to honor that price.

DirecTV is to blame here, not the customer. The customer just wants the offer he was given, its that simple.

I'm not convinced they ever offered it to you in the first place. You probably told them that in order to get a deal.

DirecTV screwed up, then contacted the customer to say we are sorry we screwed up and that they would honor the offer then days later again charged him the full price. Its really strange to me that the billing department outweighs the office of the president.

Something is REALLY screwed up at DirecTV, and I really do not like what I am seeing lately from their customer service operations.

Bottom line is if it was offered the deal should be honored. Directv is 100% responsable here.
 
D* should have just kept their mouth shut. But Knowing D* this is not an uncommon practice.

Again, not a Charlie fan nor have I liked their pulling of stations down but they have never done anything like this...

Its just not acceptable to give something and then take it away...and just say oops...too bad! You can leave if you like..

There is no doubt in my mind that this entire story is a fabrication. You wanted ST for less than full price. They said no. You complained. They said oh well.

I have no idea what you're even talking about Scott. No everyone gets the deal. You don't have a right to the deal. This guy didn't get it and he is here to whine about it. This crap about getting it and having it taken away is BS...a fabrication. I'm sure it never happened. He probably just told them that and they didn't bite. Too bad...so sad. Pay full price like most people.

According to whats posted in Satellite Guys D* doesn't Charge barely anyone full price for Sunday Ticket, and Super Fan is giving away like candy.. At least thats what all the fans are bragging about, So now your saying they lied too?. Maybe all of those people are full of it. :rant:
Maybe they just want to make D* look good.
Sorry But D* not going to make Billion dollar deals with the NFL ,and then give all its Customers Free ST.
But if CSR's are telling a Customer they can get a deal ,and then take it back when they get them to sign on the dotted line. Thats 100% completely Wrong, And D* should be called on it.

Better things to do.

As far as fabrication...It makes no sense to lie about direc tv giving me a deal?
They have as well as other providers offer discounts on products..

I wish I was making this up...I dont take it litely bashing a company.
Its shocking to see a company behave this way....

But the truth of the matter is...no complaining..just fact....Direc tv dropped the ball.
