New Spanish channels (Estrella TV) AMC 21

Hi guys,
Just found out about these new channels today.

Estrella TV ET/CT and Estrella TV Pacific on AMC 21

Apparently, they just launched Estrella TV in September 2009.

It looks like they are going to compete with Univision and Telemundo.

They have some movies in the afternoon, news, comedy shows. It looks like some of the programs are original, produced by them, but I have noticed they have many actors from Televisa (Mexico).

Just thought I would let you know.

I just wish Univision was back on Ku, although I am attempting to set up a mini-BUD

Thanks for the info. Do you know if the audio is ac3? I'm watching Pbs, create,v-me but I haven´t been able to get my sony receiver to decode the audio even though it is dolby digital and I am using optical from my Pansat 250sm

Jose Luis Sin Censura is just like Jerry Springer except much funnier and better looking women (sometimes)

and Secretos is just like Cheaters. and just as fake as Jose Luis. Why? he's the producer...

No, it's not AC3 audio, it's regular audio, no decoder needed.

Yep, good to see new ones coming on as oppose to seeing channels leaving like the ones on 123W.

Not much to see ( we have it on a local digital subchannel) just hot women in short revealing clothes.

They have some comedy shows that are not to bad, but I agree with you, they could have more shows with talent and less with hot women in my opinion. Also I noticed they have bad lenguage in a lot of their shows, and they don't block (beep) it like Univision. I wish they did though, because now it's not "family friendly".

They are just starting, so hopefully they improve yet.

All Spanish channels have girls with short revealing clothes, on the east part of the arc half the shows have girls dancing in the backround with mini skirts thongs or G-strings, I don't mind at all

Same spot, when I posted before it was at 60% quality, now it is down to 40% quality. (I don't know what the normal quality was at)

I tune in at 2:00am, and all that's on is some old doctor discussing prostate problems and pills to help. - :rant:
Then, at 2:30am, it's a size-matters commercial, in English!
Guess it's the same as late-nite English programming - infomercials keep the lights on! -

signal quality way down now...at 64 on Coolsat 5000
was at 70 (63 is threshold so major pixeling right now)

Are they now gone? I tweaked my dish two days after they first appeared on AMC-21 to better get them, but today I have had nothing. And you?
