E* is notorious for programming disputes in the beginning of the year !! Things have been unusually quiet this year.(no rumours or channel removal threats on the charlie chats) What channel will get pulled this year? (please add your prediction below!!!)

What channel will get pulled this year? (please add your prediction below!!!)

Start with the most popular ones and go down from there. Dish doesn't seem to have any problem signing or maintaining contracts with channels nobody wants to watch.

Dish has taken out full page ads in our local newspaper touting the possibillity of area Fox locals being lost due to Mediacom and Sinclair agreements that expire shortly. So I'll guess somewhere down the road, Dish and Sinclair will collide as Dish did with Young Broadcasting last year. But What do I know I'm still waiting for Davenport HD, HA HA HA. What A Joke

I dont see any issues for Dish this year...

However for DirecTV they might lose their Rainbow programming. But I am hearing that Rainbow might allow them to continue running their channels if positive negotations are going on. (and I hear they are close to a deal)

Dish is running ads in Dallas as well, regarding time warner's imminent loss of fox programming. I keep hearing them while listening to ESPN Radio.

Its a shame that it has to be like this though; I would have hope for a more unified front against programming providers, but I guess business is business.

Does Dish's lack of Blues coverage in the St. Louis Market (FSN has been blacking out approximately 50% of Blues games since November) count? I realize it is not a national concern, but I get highly upset when you attend Blues' games and the advertisements read, "No place cheaper than Dish to watch the Blues in St. Louis."
The only thing I can say for sure is, Dish is the only service in St. Louis where you can't see all the Blues' games. This situation is frustrating for missing games as well as a lack of new information from the Blues, Dish, or FSN. I realize this is not a national or New Year's day situation but it will continue to effect hockey fans with Dish throughout the New Year.

Local FOX station is warning outlying cable systems that their FOX/CW/MYTV/UNI and several other signals will be removed from those cable systems early Jan., so satellite companies aren't the only ones having retrans problems.

Of course my inquiries locally about Dish picking up HD locals has indicated that none of our local stations have even been contacted by Dish.

Dish dropping ABC in Providence market January 1st.

I just seen a scroll while watching ABC 6 WLNE. It stated that on Jan 1st Dish Network customers could lose ABC shows. It did not state only Providence.

Looks like there are some issues....

I just called and they are still in talks with Global Broadcasting. It being late in the day and tomorrow being the 1st I am guessing there is really no talking going on.

So it looks like no ABC 6 in the morning.
