L623 is out

I have had L623 for a couple of days and I don't see any difference...except that the skip ahead/back occasionally does not work correctly.

Sometimes, I can not skip back past a certain point in the show that I am watching (I have to use the fast reverse function to back up). Sometimes, the skip back button skips several minutes back in the program (not 10 seconds), and sometimes it skips to the beginning. As I said before, this only happens occasionally.

Not sure if this is related to L6.23 or not:

I recently got L6.23 on my 722 and when I just tried to delete 2 recordings from my external HDD those recordings won't delete. The messages say they are being deleted, but the recordings are still there. I know I have deleted stuff from there in the past.

When I "move" the recordings back to the 722 I now have two copies that I can play, one on the 722 and one on the ext. HDD. I know previously when I moved recordings they really did move but now it's creating copies.

Has anyone else experienced this??

I also have the exact same issue on my WD Ext HD, can't delete or move programs off of it. It appears to be deleting the programs, however when you check to see if it did indeed delete, it is still there. Transferring the programs back to the DVR works, however it leaves the copy on the external HD. This could be a very big issue if not corrected.

Anyone else having any timer priority issues?

I have OTA HD locals but no satellite delivered HD locals. For all of the network shows (CBS, FOX, etc) we setup to record, I setup 2 timers: one for the ##.1 OTA channel (higher priority) and another for the SD satellite channel. So the HD should record - but if a conflict with another OTA timer exists then the lower priority SD channel should kick that timer in.

Has worked pretty well for me for a while now.

But as the new shows have started, I'm noticing that only an SD timer is setup - when no other shows are setup that could conflict. IE, for this Sundays recordings, the 24 premier is set to record on the SD channel - when nothing else was scheduled to record. But I have an additional timer for my OTA ##.1 channel with priority 3 - much higher than the SD timer.

A simple SKIP of the SD 24 set it up to record on the OTA ##.1 channel. But I shouldn't have had to do that.

Thanks for the confirmation. I haven't had a chance yet to do a hard reset as suggested earlier, but something tells me it won't help...

OK, I did a couple of tests. First I moved (restored) one movie from the WD EHD to the 722 and it moved the movie to the receiver and it did NOT leave a copy on the EHD. Then I deleted a program on the EHD and it deleted the program.

This is on a 722 with L623 and a WD EHD. So I don't know what to tell you Cosmo, maybe resetting the receiver might help??? We also know that each receiver behaves differently.

I having the OTA going in an out on me. Before L623 I always had 100% and since L623 the same channels now come in at 65-75%. They come in fine and then I get the LOS yellow screen. Then it comes back in and out. I will try a full re-scan of the local channels and post what happens.

This may be a coincidence- We just brought home a new 46" LED TV. The HDMI output does not work from our 622 with the L623 update. Composite does work. I called tech support and they took a trouble report and said it was the software not recognizing the new model of the TV's HDMI? Sounds weird to me. Can this be true or has my HDMI output on the 622 just gone south?

I just did a channel re scan and still is doing the same thing. The Milwaukee station were 100 and now 75 and going down. Also the Madison station just don't come in anymore, if they do its at about 65. So L623 did something, sure hope they fix it "SOON":D
