Hello,

I was wondering, with (hopefully) Rochester, MN getting HD locals soon, I'll point my OTA antenna to LaCrosse, WI (Packer's games on FOX) or to Minneapolis (Wild Hockey on local stations).

Question 1

My question is.....obviously my DMA is Rochester, MN. If I'm tuning in out of market channels that ARE provided by DISH in those markets, will I get show information on current DVRs (722, 211k with EHD, etc) with OTA tuners for those out of market channels?

Question 2

If I did have my OTA antenna pointed at Rochester, hence duplicating what I'm getting via DISH for locals......can you state a preference for shows to record via OTA so that my sat tuner isn't tied up?

Question 2a

Assume a 211k with EHD here..... If there is a scheduling conflict for 2 shows, and one of them is available on both Sat and OTA, will it select OTA to allow the sat only programming to record as well.

All of the out of market locals i have picked up had guide info.

I know the charlie chat said rochester, mn but I have seen other data showing Rochester, NY locals being tested. Not sure which is right...

1. You will get guide data for any local dish uplinks regardless of DMA. I get Milwaukee locals on sat, with my antenna pointed at South Bend, IN and all the guide data is there for both.

2. You can record OTA and it will not tie up the SAT tuner. However it can not choose one or the other by itself. When you setup a timer it will alert you to the conflict and you resolve it yourself.

I often record OTA and SAT at the same time on my 211, works great.

Awesome and thanks! That helps!
