My 922 powers down every day after the update, I first thought it was the "Inactivity standby" that was powering down the unit but after I disabled it the 922 is still powered down in the morning when I leave for work.

This is an issue if I want to use the "sling player" function as without the unit on you can't connect remotely.

Is this a documented bug?

When you connect with Sling it turns the 922 on, so I am not sure what your problem is.

I thought so too but it doesn't, I was wanting to demo it at work yesterday and it didn't work.

The 922 like all of DISH receivers run 24/7. All the power button does is turn the video outputs on and off. (Though really "off" is the bouncing standby banner.) You do not need to have TV1's output active in order to use the Sling capabilities. If it didn't work while at your work yesterday it could be because of any number of networking issues. From only certain ports being open at work to your router not passing the external Sling traffic to your receiver. We'd be glad to help, but we need more info.

I've tested it at work several times so I know the ports are open. Last week when it didn't work I called my wife, she hadn't been on the TV all day and she told me the front panel was powered down. She hit the power button to turn it on and presto I was able to connected after about 30 seconds by just refreshing my web page.

The inactivity suspend still occurs even though I disabled it, that is definitely a bug.

Not sure if that is the root cause of this issue but it seems to me if the unit wouldn't go into suspend mode it would be connected on the network all of the time.

This is what it looks like every morning. I'm at home now, I just logged into my Dish Remote Access and my DVR/Live TV option is grayed out. I'm sure as soon as I hit the power button it will come up and be accessible.
