I posted this to the Pub members a couple of days ago to give them a shot at things and thanking them for supporting the site. I have additional info on which locals in each market and where they are being launched that will be posted in the Pub.

Enjoy and thanks being a part of SatelliteGuys!

Of course this data is subject to be changed and should be consider a rumor (strong one though).

HD Locals

8/11:
Augusta (GA) (119 beam)
Davenport (77 conus)
Evansville (77 conus)
Macon (77 conus)
Monroe (LA) (77 conus)
Paducah (77 conus)
Pittsburgh, PA (77 conus)
Rochester (MN) (119 beam)
San Angelo (119 beam)
Shreveport (119 beam)
Wichita (119 beam)
Wilmington (77 conus)

8/18:
Bangor (ME) (61.5 conus)
Rochester(NY) (61.5 conus)
Traverse City (61.5 conus)
Wilkes Barre/Scranton (61.5 conus)

I believe Wilkes Barre/Scranton will go 8/18 to a CONUS beam on 61.5 due to their spotbeam not covering the entire DMA.

I hope this rumor comes true!!!

I am taking it that Monroe is still uplinked to 77... If that is true, they will have to change lots of dishes.

Direct is launching our locals this month too.

At least they are getting launched... Dish is pretty predominant here, because they added our SD locals years ago. Direct never had them.

My parents have Direct (no LOS for Dish) and they are getting an upgrade for free, due to them adding our locals (Dish/Installation/Receivers).

Dish has a downtown spot that they receive everything at OTA, then fiber to uplink. Direct did a co-lo with our CBS/ABC affiliate and get the others OTA.

Looks like last night's uplink supports that http://www.satelliteguys.us/dish-network-uplink-center/222811-8-5-2010-3-05am-uplink.html

Looks like everything that DIGIBLUR posted here and the detailed information he posted in the Pub Forum was 100% spot on... :)

Great job Digiblur!

SatelliteGuys does it again. :D

Looks like you jumped the gun! :)

I'm in the Paducah DMA and assuming this really happens this time, it will be the one thing that kind of ticked me off when I switched from D*. Assuming that they don't move the uplinked channels, it appears that I'll need a different dish to point to the EA to get them, but that's certainly not going to make me mad.

I'll be able to record 4 locals in HD whenever I want to. 2 off of the SAT, which will be the ones my OTA antenna has the most issues with, and the other 2 that work fine off the antenna.

i still dont believe the Paducah dma will be on the sat they are uplinked too i still think they will hit the 129. they will have to give everyone in this area new dishes and i find that hard to believe and from what i herd they are still installing 1000.2 in this market. for the 110 119 and 129 to me that would mean install a that dish one day and another day they would have to go back to install yet another one. Time will tell.

I hope you are right as it is a hassle to go through getting the dish changed out. But so far, they've been on 77 for quite some time, but not lit up. We'll know next week I guess.
