The following Software Release Notes are Provided By DISHsupport.COM

The following are release notes provided to me by DISH Network. As we go forward I hope to give you better explanation of what some of these new features and improvements are. Some things listes are under the hood updates and you may not notice any changes for some of these updates.

It should be noted that for most software updates trickle out and it sometimes takes a few weeks before all receivers are updated. If your receiver has not be updated to the new software below, don't worry, you will get it soon enough.

Our 722 updated last night, but does this bring the menu changes seen on the 722k to the 722? Just curious because most of the content seems to be for a charge. But I'm anxious to see what all else has changed.

ViP211/DP411- Software Version L561 - New Features and updates include, Regional outage/004 signal loss fixes, favorites list color change

The last couple of days I've been going crazy trying to find out if my TV was dying . My favorites list color had changed, and I thought one of the projector lenses was going out. The reason for my thoughts was because the color is SOOO ugly-looking that I thought "there is no way that this is a 'feature', obviously something is wrong". The thing is everything else was looking good, and I was just wondering, "well, maybe it's my eyes..." :p

When you reboot, there is a new Acquiring Signal dialog with five segments that are traversed by a green bar (similar to program guide download), instead of the "2 of 5" style text. It is accompanied by "This should take no more than 5 minutes", but took less than a minute.

Assumed it was the same as the 622, but who knows... Interesting note with the Google TV piece... Are they turning the device into a Google TV, OR just putting in the firmware to support Google TV... Hmmm...

Just support for the GoogleTV hardware so that it will accept commands and send data back.

Same here and it was the first thing I looked for when I saw there was a software update.

SRS is supposed to be on Audio screen where you select things like Bitstream/PCM and Stereo/Dolby Digital.
