Trying to figure out an issue with 722 receiver and remotes:

Using two 722 receivers in the same room, one on top of the other, to get separate HD programming via TV1, to two separate HD TV's.

There are two TV1 IR remotes (one for each receiver).

When Remote #1 is used to change channels on Receiver #1, Remote #1 also changes the channel on Receiver #2 to the same thing.

The only way to keep receiver #2 from changing channels is to block its infared sensor while I make the change.

Help.

Sounds like both the remotes are on the same address.

On #1 receiver, press the system info button on the front of the receiver.

Using #1 remote for #1 receiver, press and hold the "SAT" button until all the lights light up.
Press the number 6, then "#".
Press record.

This should change the primary remote address to number 6 on your screen, and the #2 receiver's remote should still work it. The remotes should work independently.

Note- I said use the number 6, but you can use any number 1-15 so long as it doesn't match the #2 receiver.

unplug one of the 2 722's
using the running 722 #1 remote go menu 6-1-3 select yes
hold down the SAT button until all four top buttons light up release
SAT should be flashing key in 6 # record key
if done correctly you should see the #1 remote addy change to 6, if so cancel out and plug other 722 back in.
