Hallmark Movie Channel in Dish Platinum

In my house, a lot. My wife watches Hallmark Movie Channel a lot. Of course I've had Platinum since day one so it doesn't matter here... ;)

no REAL change..just marketing crap (Still in AT250) DISH Network

I don't see it as crap and think you miss what this change means. Lower packages can now get /it as part of a popular package. (Platinum) It gives a sort of a la carte choice that I see some seem to want. This is a good move to give a couple of options.

It sounded like it was being pulled from a regular package.....

I think Dish Platinum is a welcome enhancement to the Dish menu of HD optional services. Epix is of interest to me and my wife and it appears that more and more content is added.

Has hallmark movie chanel been turned on for platnum

You may want to try channel 187 to see if it works. I noticed that 187 turned on recently (thinking it was a free preview) with Dos and free Dish Platinum (since we have it free for 3 months).

Sorry but any channel that is edited with commercials is not Platinum, just a crappy way of getting more money for nothing more than HD.

Sorry but Platinum was never advertised as commercial free and there have been channels not commercial free. It's fine to to be critical but if you make your own rules on what a package is I can't agree. Adding any channel not available in the lower packages helps those who do not want a higher package but do want Platinum.

But it used to be advertised as all HD

So what does that have to do with never being advertised as commercial free? Since you mentioned HD, Hallmark Movie is HD.....there's things to complain about but this isn't one of them, it's a decent change.

It sure would be nice if HD channels had HD programming and not just Logo and Centric are missing. Often Retro and Indie are not HD unless they say (HD) and even then some of those are 4x3 up-converts that are not HD when HD copies do exist--that is really bad. All very annoying if you are trying to build a library. This can be said of Encore and even HBOSG. At least with TCM we know they will be up-converts as it shows no HD you can tell by the edge shading--hope it comes soon because it is the largest single part of my library, 730 TCM vs 200 for PBS and 145 for HDNet Movies, with 180 all HBO and 180 all Max films and Epix creeping up with 100 for a total of 2200. Oh, the pain of re-recording all 620 TCM up-converts and 110 still in SD with 130 SD from other places. Hanging on to some 34 VOOM 720p recordings because they have never been shown in HD anywhere else.

The ones that have the 250 package lost an HD channel with the loss of FTV because we already had Hallmark HD.
A caution here.

Do not carelessly shortcut the name of a channel. In this case (and the case of HD Net) there is both a Hallmark Channel and a Hallmark Movie Channel.

Hallmark Movie Channel & lifetime is almost the same paste both chick flick channels
i never watch it, both same boring slow a** drama movies!
