I have a dual tuner DVR with dish network. TV 1 is HD in our family room and TV 2 is our bedroom. I currently have the TV 2 signal spliced to show in the bathroom and kitchen. I would like to have whatever is showing on TV1 to also show on a new television outside, which is just about 7 feet from the current TV1. Any suggestions on the best way to do this? I have a "side" guy who said if HDMI was going to TV 1 I could just plug in RCa cables and run those to the new outside TV. Any advice as to how best do this?

If you don't need HD on the outdoor TV then the easiest way is to split the Home Distribution 3 ways: bedroom, kitchen and outdoor. If your bedroom & kitchen TVs (TV2) are on CH 60 then your outdoor TV (TV1) would be on CH 62.

If you have a 722 you could put in a OTA module.. It then has a coax output.. Just run a coax cable to it if you don't care about it being HD..

Easiest and cheapest solution.....

Well easiest would be: call dish and get a tech out......may nit be cheapest.

Rca cables would work as well. Just wouldnt be hd.

Obviously, there is more than 1 way to skin a cat.

All depends which is the easiest/cheapest type of line for you to run vs. type of pic quality you want there

What model receiver is this? A 722k outputs TV1 and TV2 through the home distribution output. You would just go into the menu and look for modulation to setup TV1 to output on a certain channel.

Thanks! If I run the HDMI cable to the outside TV and use RCA for the inside, Will both TV's show HD? If the outside is not HD taht is ok. If I have to choose which one is HD, I would rather my TV 1 in the living room be HD!

Since the outdoor feed doesn't have to be HD, here's a thought. Run the output from TV2 to the outside, in addition to the other TV's. When you want to watch TV1 output in the outdoor kitchen, just switch from dual mode to single mode. Then TV1 output also goes to the TV2 out.

Just split the tv2 signal that you already have going to your kitchen and bathroom. and split it to your outside and like others said you then just got into menu and modulatar setup and then set up tv1 to output to like 62 or a different channel. And youll be able to watch whats either watching on tv1 or tv2 just switch channels. This is what i would do as i am an installer and this would ne the easiest and cheapest if you dont mind not having hd.

COMPONENT not RCA (composite).

That only works if you have a 722k. If it's a plain 722, only TV2 is outputted on the coax. The OP didn't say which duo dvr he has.
