I was wondering if there are any current promotions that could drop my monthly bill a little. I don't watch the movie channels like HBO / etc so I'm not really interested in that.

I've been hanging on waiting for the sling extender or some sort of MRV so I could lower equipment costs. I'm not looking to haggle with Dish or anything, just wanted to know if I could tweak something. I've been paying full price for awhile so I thought I might also be eligible for something. ( ie loyalty credit or something )

I have 3 TVs. Two HD and one SD.

Thanks in advance.

If you usually pay on time, and have been a customer for awhile perhaps they will give a credit for some period of time. I have seen posts about the being accomplished before. In addition, do they not carry an RSN you should be getting? (As in they had it but dropped it since you subscribed) They may also give a little credit for that.

Beyond that, I would say can you live with Top200 etc.... Obviously you could save the $10 for Blockbuster/Platinum, though that is a very good value....especially in light of not having any movie channels other than what Top250 gives.

Also, maybe drop the $6 protection plan for now. It can be added later if you have a problem, just need to keep it for a period of time after adding it or there is a charge.

Drop the protection plan. If you discover you need a tech visit or a receiver replacement you can always add it again before scheduling the service call. Now that I've completed my 2nd month after upgrading to HD, I'm about to drop mine as well.

Looks like you have two Duo-DVr receivers, drop one to a VIP211 and save $10 /month after initial $40 outlay to activate 211 EHD.

Drop the protection plan unless you have more than two tech visits to your home per year you are in the black to go without it and only activate it if needed, then immediately cancel absorbing the $25 cancellation fee. ($6X12=$72 vs 25X3=$75 - plus a dollar or two prorated for the plan each activation ($0.20 per day)).

I dropped down the from your package to the 120 package. I really don't miss any of the channels that I lost, and my bill is about $68 per month. That's almost half of what you are paying.
