I know that Dish is not responsible for the accuracy of guide information. This situation is a problem for people though. For instance, in today's guide (Saturday) the Sci-Fi channel shows episode #59 of Primeval at 7PM as a original show date as today 12-10-2011. Then later at 11PM it shows episode #59 of Primeval as a original show date of 6-21-2011. This type of poor information happens too frequently to be ignored. It is a real problem for those wanting to record these shows. I realize that it's not Dish's job to make up the guides but they do pay someone to perform this task.

I must ask, what does his account number have to do with this problem?

It's a known issue, we all put up with it. It's annoying, but hardly a major issue. Surely there are ways of submitting problem reports without specifically naming any particular customer.

For every report we send we have to include an account that is having the issue. I am not 100% since I don't work in the department that gets the reports but I believe it is so they can track the issue and get a number of how many customers have the same problem.

I just checked my guide and Primeval is not listed at all. My guide shows Snowmageddon. One of us must have the wrong information.

It happens on a lot of shows now that broadcast outside of the country first. I record new episodes of Mantracker on Science Channel and I have to manually restore the repeat to record because it has the Canadian air date on the repeat, while the first showing, which has a conflict in my recordings, has the US air date.

Yep, it's not a big deal just a minor annoyance. Not really sure how they can correct it but we'll never know if they don't try and then they can tell us it's unavoidable.

This has been an on going problem with Tribune Media Services. There have been other threads about the same topic. I go into the daily schedule of my timers so I can skip duplicates that are scheduled to be recorded due to this issue.

Happening with Flashpoint that is now showing on the US shows on ION instead of CBS. I am have to set my dvr to record ALL instead of NEW then reading the details to see if I have seen it........When on CBS though, didn't have any problems........

As mentioned earlier regarding Primeval, Flashpoint originated on Canadian TV. When on the U.S. networks, they treat it as brand new. But on cable, it's the original/country dates.
