HR34 and Sumsung 8000 series TVs for RVU?

Right now Directv's Technical bulletin on RVU with the HR34 says it works with the Samsung 6000, 6400, and 6420 TVs. Has anyone tried one of these with a new Samsung 8000 series smart tv, and will it work?

How about currently shipping 8000's? My customer has already bought the TVs but has not installed them and has several weeks left that he can return them.

I have a PN59D8000, and currently the RVU function does not work with it. I can not say if Samsung has plans to implement it with a firmware upgrade. I would think that since all of the sets use a similar chipset with various different functions enabled and disabled that it would be able to work, but who knows.

The only ones that work for now are the D6000, D6400, and D6420
