My 625 and 4 other customers 625's have been dropping audio for 2 to 15 seconds and every once in a while the video will flicker..At first i thought it was my box but 4 more people describe the same symptoms. Anyone else having this problem too? It does not matter what channel you are watching.

The audio drop problem is a known issue. A reset may provide temporary relief. This issue is being researched further, and there is no estimated resolution date.

Yeah I figured that was the case but I will not hold my breath on Dish fixing the problem anytime soon. Guess I will have to upgrade to a 722K even though I detest the 722K. BTW nothing against you Matt, you a benefit to us and really appreciate what you guys do..

...even though I detest the 722K.

What a silly thing to detest... IIRC, you claimed that the 722K was a lot buggier and whatnot than the 625. Well, none of my 722Ks (3) have an audio drop issue. So which receiver is buggier again? Looks to me like it's the 625.

(Granted, back in the day, my 625 never ever gave me issues, but these days, DISH programming bugs are going to affect just about any receiver. I don't expect that to change anytime soon.)

My parents called me for help today when their Vip211 receiver lost audio (they are 84 and 87 years old, and I am always the first one they turn to for help).

I had to reset it for them. This has never happened before. Software bug or is the receiver going flaky?

The 722 is still buggier to me. I have replaced many more 722's then 625s and I have more customers with 625s then 722s but the 722 is catching up.

I used to think the same thing but it seems like with my 622 they fix the problem. I don't remember the last time it happen.

I hope I didn't just jinx myself.
