I have noticed lately that I no longer have a resume option while viewing recordings. If I am watching a recording and switch to live TV, when I come back to the program my only options are "view Live TV" and "start from the beginning". Am I having a serious brain malfunction? I have had this problem on both completed recordings and shows that are still in the process of being recorded. "John"

I noticed some time ago, this option does not show up if the program in question is still recording.

Correct. Happened all the time with football games I would start watching an hour or so late.

It would be nice to have the resume function on programs that are in the process of being recorded. I usually write down the minutes that I am into a program, so I can find my place, when I return.

It's been that way for as long asw I can remember. Resume only works when you watch a program that has finished recording. May have something to do with calculating time remaining while it's still recording.

This one of the features I miss from DirecTV. They handle resume while something is recording just fine. Plus you can bookmark as many spots as you want. It would be nice if Dish would add features like that. Doesn't seem like rocket science to me.

Like I said "I also have the problem with programs that have already completed being recorded". Mabe I am having a brain seizure. I have had DVR's ever since the 501 and I don't remember having this happen before. I thought it may have something to do with the sling extender that I receintly added.

What I would like, is when you open an existing recording and it has already been watched to the end (time left: 0:00), you could "resume" by rewinding from the end, like you can do when you are currently watching it to the end.

I just checked my software version, L724. I also verified that my resume function still works.

Well I just think my 722 is crapping out. I had the issue of it rebooting itself, this resume problem, picture and voice breakup on locals (my 622 has no breakups), I lose the voice at times and if I change channels and come right back to the same channel I will have the voice back. The Hopper can't come out soon enough for me. "John"

I was chase playing an hour-long recording while it was happening on the other tuner. I stopped during a commercial because I had caught up to live, went to do some things, forgot about it, and when I came back, the recording was finished. When I opened it up, it said Time Left: 0:00, but the resume option was there, and I selected it. I am now watching it with 21:00 minutes remaining, the point at which I stopped watching previously. Is that what you mean?

Agree it would be nice to be able to pick up from the end. It is worse with the EHD. Even though you just finished viewing it you cannot back up from the end--you have to start over and find your way to the end, almost. If you go 1 second more, you do it again.

For the internal drive it is nice to just FF to the end, without even looking, and back up to get the tail-end. Nicer would be a button to put you at the end without all the FF at 300x, where the "time left" and where it stops are not the same. Did they run out of buttons?

I leave it backed off the end to be able to check if it is all there. That brings up another wish to be able to comment on recordings.

While we're at it a delete button on the EHD in its play menu would be welcome. Now you have to exit and find the recording again among the 100's and re-select and then you can delete.
