A tent collapsed outside of Busch Stadium in St. Louis killing one person & leaving several others in critical condition. This apparently happened due to bad weather after the game was finished.

If you look at any game at any stadium at any time you will usually see just as many empty seats on a sale out. It just notice it more at Dodger stadium because of the brightly colored seats.
Don't believe me, tune to any game and really focus on the number of empty seats. It is just harder to tell because the seats at the other stadiums match the teams colors, the same color the fans are wearing, or they are black, making it appear like shadows.

Kemp does it again.
11th HR...Walkoff...and again to the opposite field. 10 of his 11 have gone to right or center field. Only pulled one to left field.

You won't see many at most Giants games. Watching right now against the Padres and it's hard to find one.
The actual numbers for the Dodgers so far this year seem to contradict this, unless you were referring to a specific game...

Yes you will. I am watching too. About every 4th seat is empty just like it was at Dodgers stadium. The difference is, it is harder to tell because the stadium is smaller and the seats are dark green.
I have looked at this countless times with just about every team. The smaller ballparks are harder to see empty seats because the fans are crammed more tightly and the rows behind are not much higher than the rows in front (so the people sitting in front of empty seat block your ability to see the empty seats.
Dodgers stadium is just huge. You can sit just about anywhere above the first level and the people in the row in front of you will be at your feet. This means their bodies are not blocking the seats behind. Plus the seats are very bright and do not match the color of the team. This makes it easier to see them, even if you are sitting in them.
The Dodgers drew more fans today and yesterday than the Giants.
I took three screen captures from today's Giants game, one at the beginning and one in the 5th (I just randomly picked inning). Look at the number of empty seats.
Now compare this to today's Dodgers game from a highlight (I am unable to do a screen capture for the Dodgers on MLB.TV since they are my local team and are blacked out. I have to wait until it becomes archived).
Still about the same number of empty seats. Notice how much more space there is in the seating? It makes it easier to see the empty seats because of their brightness and the fact that you are not crowded in like sardines (much more elbow room)
Last nights game is what we were talking about. It was a sellout.
Yes, the overall attendance is way down so far this year. With the new ownership taking over and if they continue to win you will see the average get back to near the 50k mark.

Here is an example of what I am talking about. It is easy to see the larger sections of a few empty seats in a row, but it is more difficult to see about 4 empty seats when there are people sitting directly in front. Look at the ovals I drew and you can see the empty seats that you would probably never know were empty. If the seats were bright or if there were more room between the rows, it would be easier to see them.

Coco Crisp and JJ Reddick just drove in 5 runs against Boston in two successive at-bats. Why can't we get guys like that?
Kemp hits his 12th of the season and it too went the other way. Still only one HR pulled so far.
