Well, it looks like all but two of my shows are on summer vacation: Fringe, The Mentalist, CSI, CSI: NY, Castle, NCIS, Person of Interest, Touch and Blue Bloods. Soon to join them are House (Series Finale on Monday) and Criminal Minds (Wednesday). Thankfully, there are some cable series to watch over the summer and the networks have a few summertime shows that I enjoy watching:

The Closer - we love this part-time show. Unfortunately, the series will be coming to an end after they air six (6) new episodes from 9 July - 9 August. I'm sure they'll be great.

Mantracker - I love this stupid show. Yes, men on horses chasing human prey who on foot mostly through the Canadian wilderness...yes, it's stupid, but I like it anyway. My only problem is that I have never, ever, ever been able to figure-out when new shows are broadcast (they appear on the DVR) and only a handful of episodes per year. I sure hope they air some new episodes this summer.

Burn Notice - I like this show (not love) and it makes for great summertime entertainment since many of us still have to work for a living and cannot escape to southern France over the summer months. Burn Notice returns on 14 June.

Wipeout - my daugher and I love this show....while the rolls her eyes in disbelief saying things like, "She gets it from your side of the family." Nyuk, Nyuk, Nyuk!!! Anyway, it's something we only watch during the summer months.

Man vs. Wild - just like Mantracker, I can never figure out when new episodes are going to air...they just pop-up on the Tivo.

Pawn Stars/Cajun Pawn Stars/Storage Wars - I have no idea when these air. I'll save a dozen or shows on the Tivo and watch them over the summer months.

America's Got Talent - has been the #1 show over the summer months the past few years.

Flashpoint - A SWAT team show filmed up in Toroto and broadcast in Canada. CBS has been airing episodes here in the states the past few seasons...although I don't see it on the schedule so far. Hmmm. Does anyone know if CBS will be broadcasting Flashpoint?

Franklin & Bash - I only saw 2 or 3 episodes last and it looks interesting. I started watching it shortly before Memphis Beat was cancelled. The boys are back on TNT starting on 5 June.

Well, that's all I have. Please feel free to post any interesting summertime series that are running on the Cable Nets.

Covert Affairs -If you liked Alias at all, similar but not as outlandish. Brain and eye candy.

Breaking Bad - Hurry up and rent the earlier seasons to catch up. Definitely worth it!

I might check out Covert Affair because I get the feeling CBS will not be picking-up Flashpoint this summer. Breaking Bad also sounds interesting, but I just don't have time to get caught-up.

I believe CBS dropped Flashpoint after season 4. There are 5 episodes in the can so far for season 5. I do not know who is showing them. I know ion has been airing the first 4 seasons.

They air in Canada during the fall/winter. It's odd watching them in the summer because there is usually snow in the Toronto background.

I usually catch up on archived stuff, I've missed quite a few of the CSI's and NCIS's, I have never watched Game of Thrones but have it archived, BB & AGT should get me through plus the fact of my work schedule and I feel guilty watching TV if the sun is still up...

Criminal minds season ended on the 16th.

Man vs. Wild...heard there was a contract dispute with Bear and will not be returning.

We watch The Glades, Ice Road Truckers, Covert Affairs, and Breakout Kings.

Thanks! I knew that...just didn't think beyond what my Tivo Guide was telling me at the time. Apparently the programmer forgot to list the original date so the Tivo treats is as though it were a new episode.

Bummer about Man vs. Wild. I don't watch that often, but I do enjoy viewing from time-to-time.

The Glades and Ice Road Truckers don't interest me (I've seen bits 'n pieces of both) but I'm thinking we may enjoy Covert Affairs, and will have to take a look at Breakout Kings since it's unfamiliar to me. Well, I just looked up Breakout Kings and it looks like a show that may grab my attention. However, it looks like the season ended in April?
