vip 722 control remote problem please help

i have a 722 receiver and a samsung lcd series 8 52 inch my remote docent work the first 10 min when i turn on the tv i have to stan 1 feet from the 722 receiver for it to work after 10 min the tv on the 722 control starts to work but even at 15 feet away is hard to work any advise

Try turning off the energy saving features on the TV...

Yep, certainly sounds like IR interference from the tv.

if you have a UHF/IR just flip the toggle switch and change it to UHF IR interference... be gone!
