The Red Sox went 18 for 48 (.375), which means that the five starters who had two or more base hits got to see their batting averages go up. Yep, it is now that time of year...
And still I am not impressed. C J Wilson continues to struggle with each start. The bullpen is terrible. Isringhausen should never set foot on a mound again. This is my "Season of Discontent"!
I know. If the Rays ever do move, I think the fans will regret not showing up. What else more do you want from a team?

Bill, granted, the Red Sox are going down the tubes but at least they scored 13 runs. I dont think the Mets have scored a TOTAL of 13 runs in a week!!!
Dodgers have claimed Adrian Gonzales off waivers, now there are 3 possible outcomes.
1. Red Sox pull him off waivers
2. Red Sox accept a trade for Gonzales
3. Red Sox just let him go.
If I had my way I'd make them take Beckett and in return accept a single A scrub.

That stadium is a dump! I have been to a few games there(but not in the last 2 years) and it is horrible.
Happens all the time before the 8/31 deadline. The Sox put Manny on waivers every August....
Why are so many people dumping on Gonzales? In spite of his very slow start, he is on pace to finish the season hitting .300 with about 112 RBI and he plays Gold Glove first base. In other words, he is worth what he is being paid. Who do you replace him with? Brian Daubach?
A few years ago, the Padres and Dodgers had an agreed trade for Adrian Gonzalez. The Padres agreed to trade Gonzalez and Heath Bell to the Dodgers for Johnathon Broxton, Russell Martin, and James Loney. One of the players turned down the trade.
Really??!! I didnt know that. I've never been there. I know theres been some problems with the outfielders who lose the balls because of the roof of the stadium.
Or better yet replace him with Mo Vaughn.

Did the Dodgers have a rich uncle nobody knew about?? Where did they get all this money all of a sudden? Weren't they broke months ago? I dont know why they would want Crawford AND Beckett. Crawford has been injury prone in his years in Boston and Beckett has pretty much given up.
