DISH -VS- VOOM - A Settlement has been reached!

It is equally dangerous to assume the real people will not apply their own experiences in the real world, rather with such a clear focus, looking at the language and language alone, but ignore the end results.

If Dish settles then you have been wrong all along then. ;)

Did I read that that that the message that was posted for possible settlement posting was a "mistake"

The Voom production studio assets were sold. However, they do have a lot of content that could make its way somewhere.
Their licenses for titles not produced by Voom (ie, movies, some Rave shows), usually expire after 3-4 years. Not much left that anyone would possibly want to see.

Yeah, odd how it seemed to vanish for me, but it eventually came back. Sorry for jumping the gun, it just seemed likely when I went back and forth a bunch of times and those notices never appeared like they had before.

[h=1]Cablevision, Dish Eye Settlement Of $2.4B HD Deal Trial[/h]By Eric Hornbeck

Law360, New York (October 18, 2012, 4:59 PM ET) -- Cablevision System Corp. and DISH Network Corp. might soon settle their $2.4 billion programming deal dispute, court records indicated Thursday, as allegations that Dish destroyed documents and a courtroom altercation with an attorney's father have mired the often-heated trial in recent days.

The court docket indicated Thursday that New York Supreme Court Judge Richard B. Lowe III would address a possible settlement when the trial reconvenes Monday. The docket was later updated to say that the case was adjourned for briefing.

Attorneys for the parties declined to comment or were not immediately available for comment.

Bloomberg & the Chicago Tribune is reporting it:

Chicago Tribune
On Thursday, the court posted a docket entry dated Oct. 22 that said "9:30 AM Poss. Settlement."

A few hours later, however, the court changed the entry to remove the mention of a settlement. A person who answered the phone at the judge's chambers on Thursday described the possible settlement filing as a "mistake."
