I have a theory that the microHD is somehow limited to plus or minus 60 degrees of your true south location. Even if you select DisEqc 1.2 it will not got further east or west of the USALS limit.

i have not proved this yet - - - that is why I'm asking. But on my S9 and SonicView I could get 15W but no matter what I do with the micro HD I cannot drive that Far East.

My longitude in 078W and thus using my theory - - - I cannot get any further east than 018W.

BTW, when I select "Limit Setup" it is currently set to Disable Limit.

I think I could prove this but wanted to ask first.

TIA

The microHD could drive the motor to the physical rotation limit of the motor using DiSEqC 1.2. USALS calculation is limited to +/- 60 degrees.

DiSEqC 1.2 is a memory setting stored in the motor. The ability to move to the physical limit of the motor is purely a function of the motor unless a software limit is set.

Here is a video showing the microHD driving the HH motor to 75 degrees off center 0 position.

Thank you!!

I also proved myself wrong. I now have 15W using my microHD. The pole was not plum all the way around.

How could I ever doubt you Brian!
