I currently have 2 Hoppers (one with Sling) and 3 Joeys to service 5 rooms. I need to increase coverage to 8 rooms. Customer Service says I have to call the Commercial division.

Is it possible to cover 8 rooms with 2 Hopper and 6 Joeys? Or is it possible to use 3 Hoppers and 5 Joeys with just my one dish?

Any suggestions on the least expensive option from the experts?

Thank you in advance.

You would need a switch to provide signal to the two nodes you would need to use in a 3 Hopper installation. You could use 2 Hoppers and 6 Joeys but you may run into a tuner conflict if you have people viewing in all the rooms at any given time.

Do you need simultaneous and independent TV service in all 8 rooms? Can you mirror some of the existing Hoppers/Joeys to the new rooms?

Mark

I would prefer to have independent viewing in each room unless its horribly expensive. My wife records a lot and that takes up a lot of tuners already.

for independent in all rooms, you would most likely have to purchase the 3rd hopper. it would also need 2 dpp44 switches and another node
you should be able to lease the extra joeys

either way, it does not require the commercial division
