DISH Reaches Long Term Agreement with DISNEY / ESPN / ABC

I would hope that they would allow subs to have the hopper and disable auto hop if the sub chooses not to subscribe to it. I'm sure there would be a way.
i hope that the $7 increase from the dvr and second hopper fees on my subscription cover this. I'm not paying more for something that we had before. We are already nickeled and dimed enough.

lol navychop had me googling to see what in blue blazes a tupence was!Kab to the rescue with the correct spelling.:D

Well, I've seen Mary Poppins, but I still don't understand Navy's meaning. Having to pay a penny (or two) is certainly better than having to pay nickels and dimes, which was mentioned in the previous post.

I told you this was about AutoHop but nobody wanted to believe me? I'm not even sure what I said in a earlier post about AutoHop was on this forum or the "other" forum.

Seriously non of this surprises me at all, what you expect when these networks been fighting AutoHop since its introduction, So I definitely see why there stalling in these negotiations, You honestly think is about digital rights think again, as much as both want to make you believe otherwise, nothing is going to change unless they limit or remove AutoHop, Is evident in these lawsuits that they(Networks) keep losing but keep trying.

There I found it.

I figured the holdup was about Autohop as well. But I expected that Dish would have to disable Autohop altogether, bit surprised that ABC could be bought off for a bit more $$. (Of course, thinking about it it shouldn't have surprised me at all.)
