Official DISH Channel Request Thread

Or go back to something like the old channel 9500 or 9600 where you clicked on the channel and got local weather within a few seconds. However, Dish does not want to do this as it bypasses too much of their interactive crap.

TWC is worthless, on Dish, for local weather.

Okay Dish Network, you give great service and very few complaints... But we need a 24 hour weather network on your lineup. Not the Highway Boo Boo network currently at 214. Yesterday, in our office we were watching Weather Nation online, we have been kidding one of the office staff who has Dish about not having access to Weather Nation.
We have been watching and expecting a snowstorm for our area over a 2 day period. This staff member turned to 214 to see what they were saying for snow potential, and he said, "all I saw was this program where two men were digging around rocks...", uproarious laughter from the office staff.
If you read TWC Ceo David Kelley's comments, his head is firmly placed in the sand, as a matter of fact he was touting a new reality show.
Time to get Weather Nation or speed Accuweather up.
The Weather geeks have spoken, and TWC isn't listening.
Save yourself some money DISH, dump TWC.

I request that the upcoming AccuWeather channel be given serious consideration to be carried AT LAUNCH!

Military History channel.

The Military channel has gone to hell in a hand basket. It's only military 2 days a week!

Yep. They're changing to the "American Heroes Channel" on March 3. SIGH. PLEASE add the Military History Channel! Surely there is a good deal of interest in consuming military topics. Guess I'm going to have to look online.

I just wish the channels we do have, would actually run programming that is related to what got the channel started in the first place! Like someone mentioned above about the weather channel being the Honey Boo Boo channel.

I personally like (liked) channels like The History Channel, TLC, National Geographic, Animal Planet, Discovery Channel, etc...
Let's see what's on tonight's prime time schedule:
The History channel: Swamp People, Swamp People, and Cryptid: The Swamp Beast. When did it turn into The Swamp Channel? Oh, and by the way, these are modern day swamp people, not swamp people from the past, err history.
TLC - The Learning Channel: Extreme Couponing, Extreme Couponing, and Cake Boss. Sounds like something one would expect on perhaps the Food Network?
Nat Geo has an entire evening of Brain Games. Not bad, sounds like a perfect fit for The Learning Channel.
Meanwhile Animal Planet is showing Treehouse Masters and a couple episodes of leave it to the Beavers Brothers. Beavers are animals and chew on trees, I guess.
And last but not least, The Discovery Channel has Fast N' Loud: Revved Up and Rods N' Wheels. The Discovery N' Channel.

And Dish Network has absolutely nothing to do with the content on any of the channels they have.
