Hi,
I'm having DirecTv install a Genie and two "mini's" next Friday. I have one question about cable runs.
I currently have one cable coming into the house and going directly upstairs where there is one tv.
I have another going into the basement from outside and in the basement it is split into two runs, one going to the first floor family room and the other going to a first floor bedroom.
These 3 locations are where I want DirecTv installed. Will the split run in the basement (branching off into two runs to the first floor) be a problem?
Thanks in advance for any assistance.

Like Claude said, since you are getting a Genie which requires a swm installation, the cabling shouldn't be an issue. The splitter in your basement will have to be an approved one, but that can be switched out.

if you are having all 3 locations wires i suggest dumping the minis for receivers or dvr's
