CSN Houston becoming Root Sports Houston; Dish Carriage Soon?

With the change in ownership and Dish having the rest of the Root properties, will RSH be coming to Dish once the rebranding happens?

we never had CSN Houston, just FSN Southwest, and i doubt we will have Root Sports Houston when it launches.

Yep, the worst thing Astros did was drop FSN Southwest. They lost a significant number of their fan base.

The changed owners. They changed leagues. They changed uniforms. The changed manager. They changed players. But, after all that, they still had a big TV audience from San Antonio to Louisiana...............until they created their own network which no one but Comcast carried.

TV fans go to live games sometimes. Ticket sales produce revenue. Revenue increases payroll. Payroll buys better players. Better players win more games and draw interest.

Worst team is subjective. There were four teams with equal or worse records than Houston.

This team has had poor win-loss records for quite some time now in two leagues no less. If teams from far smaller markets like Kansas City or St. Louis can afford better players, than the Astros sure can. But then again those two teams are run well. So yes, in the long term, Houston is the worst team in MLB because it has poor management and ownership.

Directv OWNS the station now...so why wouldn't they UPLINK it
Dish has to come to an agreement with the owners (Directv & AT&T) to carry it.

yes they carry Root Pittsburgh, Rocky Mtn and Northwest (the other 3 Root properties). But they also carried them as their former incarnation of Fox Sports _________

I really want to watch basketball this year and baseball may soon be relevant agin in Houston.

Normally I would agree but he didn't have much choice, almost no one carried it including Direct TV.
