I don't see anything in this menu labeled "switch/LNB". Under "Device" it says "500 twin". Under "DNASP" it says "522 DshN09" and under "Hardware" it says "DMDJ-N".
Does any of this tell you?
D-500 with a legacy LNB is all that he can have as a 4900 will not work with a DP LNB....

Or a DPP twin which doesn't need an adapter and fits the dish 500 mount.
AFAIK, that didn't work when you are using a single (non-DP) receiver on this LNB, as the receiver does NOT provide enough power for the LNB/legacy adaptor. It would ONLY work if you had another DP receiver on the same LNB.

That may have been true but all Legacy receivers are being discontinued and replaced with current receivers that would power a DPP LNB.

Agree, I just meant that he could NOT be using such an arrangement on his current receiver...which is what I thought that discussion was about... :)
