'Game Of Thrones' Finale Leaves Out A Huge Storyline From The Books http://finance.yahoo.com/news/game-thrones-ignoring-huge-storyline-125600624.html Book Fans Angered by Huge Game of Thrones Finale Omission http://www.vulture.com/2014/06/game-of-thrones-lady-stoneheart-omission.html

Not sure why people would be upset about this. They will obviously address it in the next season. They have show several things in a different order than the books. The next book is mostly about characters we aren't familiar with yet but you can bet that HBO will feature the ones we know and love too. I'm sure this was just something they chose to mix in with the new characters next season.

That was probably the best season so far in my opinion. Now that it is over and my $9 monthly credit towards HBO is expiring it's time to cancel until next season starts.

I'd say I definitely got my $10 per month's worth out of HBO Go during the current season of GoT though. I subscribed a week before the season started and went back to catch True Detective. Then once the new shows started I used HBO Go to watch the new episodes of GoT, Veep, and Silicon Valley every Sunday.

HBO Go makes it so easy to binge watch whatever I missed during the year that I have no need to subscribe again until Game of Thrones comes back next year. I'll be keeping an eye out for The Leftovers impressions.

One of the good things about Game of Thrones this season is that it appears that they are deviating from the books considerably. I wonder if Stannis Baratheon & Melisandre will punish Jon Snow ruining their "execution" of Mance Rayder?

Just started watching the first season over the weekend. Wish I would have joined the party earlier.

I need to watch the earlier seasons over again! The problem is that there are so many characters and only 10 episodes a year, so I lose track of so much! I have to read the recaps to remember all the nuances of who is who and what they have been up to!

I've been watching 2-3 episodes a night so it's staying pretty fresh. I'll probably finish season 1 tonight and pick it up again next weekend.

A little OT, I was using the wiki recaps for the last few episode of 12 Monkeys trying to keep up with everything.

I binged Seasons 1-4, finishing up today before watching the first episode of Season 5. I was disappointed in the "previously on Game of Thrones..." pre-show and the "coming next week on Game of Thrones" post-show segments. I don't know if that's because I'm watching with the HBO Now service or if that's something new for Season 5. I like it better when they just jump right in to the episode.

I should have done that myself. I have had absolutely no time.
It helped that I took last week off for my son's Spring Break. I was able to get to the middle of Season 3 and only had to watch two or three episodes after work this week.

I knew I had gaps in my previous watching. Several times during my power-watching session I found myself thinking to myself, "Oh, that makes sense now!" or "Oh, that's where <fill in the blank> came from!"

I haven't read the books, but according to people who have, this season the show is starting to diverge from the established storylines in the novels. I'm not sure what to think about that, but it seems that this season hasn't "wowed" me like the first four seasons did.
