Cozi TV and the Media General replacement for LWN saga.

They won't be adding either Grit or Cozi on WKRN here in Nashville as both of those networks are already being carried on other full-power stations here. If they're not going to end up adding the same network on WKRN as on all their other former LWN stations, I don't see why they don't go ahead and give us our replacement (which is supposedly Me-TV) while they figure out one other replacement network for all the other stations.

Also, I wonder why they're not strongly considering the new Decades as the replacement? It was what they had announced as the LWN replacement for WBAY in Green Bay (so they had apparently already been talking to them) and it doesn't appear to currently be carried on a full-power station in ANY of the markets in question. Just make a deal with that ONE diginet and -- boom -- problem solved across the board. I like that Decades has a mix of new original documentary-type programs along with classic TV series and movies, so it offers a little more variety than most retro diginets. Also, it's broadcast in widescreen -- if I'm going to watch stuff in SD, I like it to at least be in the 16:9 aspect ratio.
Seems like your Market has a lot of shuffling going on.

Me moves from lp 31 to WKRN
Laff replaces this on CBS5
Antenna will launch on WRTN 6.1
Daystar moves to lp 20 station
Movies will launch on Me's old 31.1 slot
Only one left out is THIS, one of three things, This launches on 6.6 to replace SSN, launches on 31, or another one of your full power channels.

Its been 3 months since no diginet, so i finally decided to call KLFY and got an answer from her. According to her sources the entire list of Media Stations that were former LWN stations will be replaced by NBC owned Cozi TV. Now if for some reason this is false then I am sorry.....

I think I will give up and just patiently wait. Whatever media general decides to launch whenever or if ever, it's better than nothing. I cant believe these sorry @zz media companies play the b.s. political game like our politicans do with us. Us TV viewers and the hard working business people that buy ads to put on your stations keep your butts in business. At least they can let us know something, but that is fine I will wait and see what transpires. I already had a lady from a station owned by MG somewhere on the east coast fb message me and said well when media bought out young they rid of 2 of our favorites and we wrote them a petition and most of us no longer watch the channel (just the diginet) so dont waste your time Brian on worrying about if Cozi, grit/escape is coming, it will come but dont expect it soon. Oh and she said they came up with something because my friend lives around the WRIC station area and she called them. That person you keep emailing, stop wasting your time because we figured this one's program out already. Thanks for letting me message you.

Well that did'nt suprise me. We all have our opinions about things and well I have to agree with hers. I'll leave it at that......

Just wait and see what happens. No sense in getting your blood pressure up playing the waiting game. When the head folks at MG figure out what they're going to add and to get each station setup then they will launch it. there is a lot of technical stuff that needs to be done before they can launch a station.

WOW JUST WOW!
You do realize that it cost a lot of money to put a subchannel on the air right??? and on those channels there is only a few commercial breaks that the affiliates can put a local commercial on. Maybe 3 minutes an hour. the other commercial breaks are from the 'diginet' themselves. The stations don't have to put any subchannel on to please me, you or any politician. the fact that some of them do is a great thing for us who rely only on an antenna. but I'm not getting my undies in a bunch and calling my local Fox station constantly and going on Facebook asking when are they going to launch buzzzr. When it happens it happens.

Just sit back. Crack open your favorite can of whatever you drink. Be it beer, pop, lemonade, or just plain old water and enjoy what you have NOW. if you worry about the future way too much you will never be able to enjoy the present

Oh by the way.....I'm not trying to be an ass. I'm just trying to help you understand that things like this take time. the bigger the ownership the longer it will take. you can call all you want and talk to that representative at your local station but they're not the ones who make the decision. Its some bigwig in a plush office somewhere far away. :)

There is a station in New Orleans that has Cozi when LeSea made a deal to launch it on its stations. Ironically between that one, WDSU (Me), WWL (Justice),WVUE (Bounce/Grit) I can get them here and there and they stay on for a good while with the 8 bay. I like cozi.

Future Reference, WTMJ is scheduled to drop the weather x for Laff on the .2 and launch escape on the .4 and WVUE will launch Escape later on its .4 too
