Right now, have one at Joey for Roku. Wanting to move to Hopper (both rooms have iffy wifi). I assume wiring would be same?

I have my HIC in a room with no other equipment, other than my modem and router. Basically, it is modem, router, HIC, with the coax going into the MOCA network, and completing everything on its own.

Yes, aware of what it is and how it works. I have two, the one from router going to Moca, the other in reverse to provide an ethernet connection in room without router or cabling.

Will I need a tap to use at the Hopper as opposed to passing through to Joey?

I wish I could tell you. I had heard they can work in reverse, but I could have sworn in training they specifically said they couldn't. My info would be bad for you KAB... Wish I could offer more help.

They DO work in reverse. I've done it at Joey, for a year or more, passing the second HIC to the Joey. Just trying to know what to do moving it to the Hopper, and if I need to get a tap or not. Probably do.

Yes, you would need a tap. The HIC on the Client line and the Hopper on the Host line.
