Dual mode issue! Please help

Try disconnecting the ehd because that error code seems to pertain to that and not anything about single/dual mode. Has dual mode ever worked for you?

There is a setting in the menu to allow Shared View, is that enabled?

I have. I have 62 set to tv1 and 60 to tv2. My issue is the receiver will not change to duel mode. When I hit the mode button on the front of the receiver, I got a pop up on tv1 and tv2 saying this function is currently not supported. Error 863. It stays in single mode and will not switch to dual mode. Tv2 displays the same content as tv1 on both channels 62 and 60

This sounds like the same pop up that Dish added to the 522 when they refurbished them as 512's. I wonder if Dish is doing the same thing to refurbished ViP722's, taking away Dual Mode.

That's what I was thinking: maybe Dish wants a newer receiver line to replace the 612.
