HOPPER 3 UPGRADES

That Anywhere Android app is not playing very nice with the H3. Some timers won't show, some recordings won't show and that weird "Prepare for Mobile" is set by default on the H3, but shows as disabled on the app and streaming stuff doesn't fill the entire screen most of the time. When I delete a show on the app, it says it's deleted, but shows right back up in the list. Delete it again and nothing shows up anymore.
Do I have to adjust any router settings for this to work better?

Concerning the DVR disk space usage, we usually run it up to 80% or so before the Winter season is over, then we work on watching everything we have recorded. If we record a movie it goes on our EHD and we usually keep them there.
I noticed that after restoring all the programs from our H2, the new H3 showed like 15% of the DVR used but I'm sure that will grow fast in the next week or so.

Definitely the 1000.2EA. It's light, easy to mount and aim and gets slightly better signals around here than the 1000.4, especially on 61.5.

I miss the fine tune adjustments. With the 1k2 gotta hold your mouth just right, tighten up and it throws it off 1 way or the other. Loosen up and repeat till you find the sweet spot, a real pita on a fresh set pole.

When you schedule a recording, can you actually specify for it to go to the EHD instead of the Hopper itself?

On the H2K, one can goto Menu -> External Hard Drive to see the Total Space available (1.2TB on my H2K), what does the H3 show for the Total Space available as 15% of 2TB is better than 15% of 1.2TB, kind of pointless to advertise 2TB when only 1.2TB is usable as for people who didn't know, they would expect to have 4x their current 500GB space instead of only 2.25x.

Anyways, back to the topic of the dish being used.... On my Hopper 2K which was installed when I first had DISH installed on November 16, 2012, Menu -> Settings -> Diagnostics -> Point Dish -> Check Switch and Check Switch Details and Menu -> Settings -> Diagnostics -> System Status -> h Device indicates the switch as DPP 500+ which according to Google and per the document here http://caottimail.com/InstallationReference.pdf would indicate I am on a DISH 500+ antenna/dish. I have included some pictures of what is shown on my LG 65EF9600 UltraHD 4K OLED TV and also the picture of the dish mounted on the roof, my sidewalk is lower than the road by 5 feet so the Google Maps image was better, my DISH faces south from the front of the house so you can only see the backside of the DISH which is mounted on the northern edge of the house. D*TV installs the dishes on the back side of the house so it is sitting at the southern edge of the house. Are they going to remove the old DISH and replace it with the one needed for the H3 or are they simply going to leave the old dish there and just install the new one somewhere else on the roof?

The DPP 500+ is a special LNB that picks up the international programming at 118.7 without the need of a second dish antenna. Don't really know which Dish pan you have, but it is pointed at the Western Arc. My guess it is the more rounder original Dish 500

Now I am way east in Georgia, but I use the WA because at one time it was the only fleet in the sky and have no real need to go to the EA (which is way higher in the sky from my location)

I am surprised to see that you did not opt for a dish to connects you to the satellite parked at 129. Most of my HD channels sit there. (or used to, maybe they have moved many of them to to 110/119?)

Anyway, my guess is that they will put up a new Dish 1000.2 and if you need to keep international programming they would tie the older dish 500 into the new 1000.2.

I have America's Top 250 and Jadeworld Pack. It seems like on page 4 of the referenced PDF file, 118.7 FSS is supported by both the 500+ and 1000+ but not the other DISH models, the question is will what I have now be compatible with the Hopper 3? I'm in San Francisco, California. I never had a choice on what to use since basically Jadeworld did not go into a agreeable contract to continue with D*TV and they were relocating to DISH on 11/19/2012 so I just ordered America's Top 250 and Jadeworld Pack with the Hopper 2K DVR. I'll see what happens with the install, is there anyway to tell from the H3 if it's connected to only one antenna or if it is tied to two antennas? According to this thread, the Jadeworld Channels are on 118:
